Job Purpose  
  
Learn and adopt Stand Strong Fencing structured management process and complete required training. The role of the General Manager is to direct and manage our organization's business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs.  Additionally, the General Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and generating sales leads and referrals. The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional budgeting and finance skills, and strong leadership qualities. 
  
Job focus will be to learn and manage company policies, direct activities towards long term goals and profitability, meet or exceed KPIs for customer service, profitability, revenue, and budgets. Proficiently build, develop and lead a professional team that is successful in completing day to day to our standards.
  
Primary Responsibilities  
  
  • Professionally represent Stand Strong Fencing.  
  • Community involvement and network building.  
  • Develop expertise in product knowledge, technical knowledge, industry, and process knowledge in relevant product areas.  
  • Study and learn current marketplace, competitors, and industry trends in order to identify new business and marketing opportunities and present them to the Owner.  
  • Oversee daily business operations of the business (Material Procurement, Subcontractor Procurement, Installations, Production and Office/Administrative).  
  • Maintain and manage inventory levels. 
  • Develop and implement growth strategies (to include managing budgets, improving revenue, and improving profitability).  
  • Analyze business results based on KPI reporting. 
  • Complete vehicle inspections to comply with maintenance requirements. 
  • Oversee the continued training of managers and staff.  
  • Evaluate performance and productivity of direct reports and oversee the performance and productivity of indirect reports.  
  • Maintain professionalism of all employees and respond immediately to employee issues and customer needs.  
  • Interact with customers and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.  
  • Address potential client queries in a timely and professional manner.  
  • Learn and record basic data, records, HR documents, tasks, and any other relevant information.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Owner.

Experience and Education:  
  
  • 5+ years in a service/installation related field/industry in a management/leadership role.
  • Home service sales experience is a plus. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.  
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.  
  • Experienced at reading, interpreting and managing financial statements.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, mentor and bring a diverse group of people together to work effectively.  
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small or group situations to customers and employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make prudent decisions.  
  • Track record of achieving high results.
  • Knowledge in MS Office or G Suite, QuickBooks or accounting software, CRM software . 
  
Physical Requirements:  
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: 
  • Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. 
  • Work outside in elements and varying seasons 
  • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 100 lbs. 
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle for extended time periods.
